Come Out of Your Foxholes!
Though I'm excited about the things God is saying for the new year, He showed me I still had a "foxhole" mentality in some ways. For many, it has been a year of intense warfare. But, it's a new day, a new season, and we will need to think differently to embrace all He wants to do.
I wanted to share some things I felt I heard the Lord saying. If you find yourself in a "foxhole" of sorts, I pray they will be a blessing to you as well.

It's time to come out of your foxholes! The time of hiding and hunkering down is coming to an end. You will lift your head and see that the smoke from your battle field is clearing.
You will be able to see again clearly. God will clean and dress your battle wounds and give you food and drink. You have learned to trust Him in your season of captivity, now will you trust Him with your freedom?
He is removing your restraints, and that which has held you back will disappear. Do not be afraid to run. It's a season to run! You will run and not grow weary, you will walk and not faint. See, He is giving you eagle's wings to soar and renewed strength as you run.
God has trained and equipped you to go the distance. Every trial that the enemy sent to take you down, God is turning for your benefit and favor. You have grown stronger and gained strength. A turning of the tables is taking place.
Don't take even a second to look back. "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the waste land." (Isa. 43:18-19)
Just as those who crossed the Jordan River gathered memorial stones, it is time to gather your own stones of remembrance. Just as God cut off the Jordan River for them, He is cutting off the waters that threaten you. He is about to increase His testimony in and through you. He will immerse you in His river. His river will bring life to you and your dead circumstances. He will turn your wastelands into fruitful gardens. The destiny of future generations will be changed by your encounters with His goodness.
Where there has been desolation, He is bringing proliferation. Rapidly multiplying life, everywhere you turn. Do you see it? It is beginning to spring up even now. Life, everywhere you turn!
Come out of your foxholes and let the "new thing" season begin!
