An "Instead Of" Season Displaying Redemption

I was so moved by Isaiah 61 today as I sat down to read. I was impressed by the goodness and generosity displayed by our Father in these words.

Our God is a God of redemption! He rescued us and saved us not because we did anything to deserve it, but just because He loved us and wanted us back in His royal family.

As I continued to read, the words "instead of" began to leap off the page at me. I felt the Father was shouting, "It's time! It's time! It's time! It's time for the Divine exchange!" "My son paid the price and it's time my children step into their place in my royal family !"

"I want 'to bestow on them a crown of beauty

instead of ashes,

the oil of gladness

instead of mourning,

a garment of praise

instead of a spirit of despair."

Instead of their shame

my people will receive a double portion,

Instead of disgrace

they will rejoice in their inheritance.' " (taken from Isa. 61)

I see a "handing over" occurring in this next season as God's children "hand over" the false identities that have been placed on them through the schemes of the evil one. Family generational iniquity patterns will be broken and changed as revelation of true identity takes root. The "Divine Exchange" will be so hilariously lavish and unexpected as people step into their double portion inheritances. There will be great joy and celebration as God's true and extravagant redemptive nature is known and experienced.

Whatever hand the enemy has dealt you whether sickness, poverty, betrayal, or any other wicked scheme, God has an "INSTEAD OF" for you! He longs to enact His Divine Exchange with you and watch as you are established among His other beloved oaks of righteousness.

You are God's testimony! You are "a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor". You are the Redeemed Ones. You bear the mark of His great price, His beloved Son.

"I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations." Isa. 61: 10-11
