Step Off of the Bandwagon and on to the Glory Train!

Just the other day I heard the Lord say the word "bandwagon". When He speaks a word like that to me, I know it is an invitation into more discussion with Him. I had the general idea of the definition but then went to the dictionary to search it out more. Wikipedia describes "bandwagon" as this, "A phenomenon whereby the rate of uptake of beliefs, ideas, fads, and trends increases the more that they have already been adopted by others."

We have been in a unique time of information overload with conflicting opinions, articles, social media, and news bombarding us from all sides. The enemy has created his own "bandwagon"; a swirling atmosphere, of confusion, fear, anger, and strife in the hearts and minds of many people. It has been tempting to "jump on the bandwagon" of opinions and arguments. It is so easy to have preconceived ideas and opinions that influence our view of what is happening in the world around us.

But, in the midst of all of this confusion, God is doing something entirely different! God is calling His people to step up into a NEW PLACE with Him. It is a place above the storm, and swirling atmosphere around us. God is tuning His people into a NEW FREQUENCY for those who have ears to hear.

In fact, I hear God saying, "It is time to get off of the BANDWAGON and onto MY GLORY TRAIN!" God is releasing solutions, ideas, breakthrough, and supernatural peace for those willing to avoid the bandwagon, and instead, step into His GLORY REALM. God has a new track for His people in this new era and there we will experience upgrades in our thinking and mindsets.

This does not mean that we avoid conflict. I believe we may see more conflict than we have seen in quite some time. But, it is in the GLORY REALM that we acquire God's heart, solutions, and the stand that we are to take in the midst of conflict. It is a time to let our voice be heard, but with the confidence that we carry God's heart for the world around us.

The Old Testament prophet, Daniel is a great example of a man who accessed the glory realm and released God's heart to a pagan culture. Daniel was taken captive to Babylon when he was young and yet he rose to the office of prime minister. Over and over, Daniel was confronted with seemingly impossible circumstances, but He had committed himself to hearing God's heart and not compromising His relationship with Him. He was a man who tapped into the glory realm and pulled it down into his circumstances to bring change, life, and reformation around him.

Daniel's decisions to follow God and not the "bandwagon" almost always put him in a position of danger, initially. But, God always released courage and grace to pursue Him for the answers and solutions in each circumstance. One such instance happened early on with King Nebuchadnezzar who was having troubling dreams.(entire story found in Daniel 2) The king commanded his magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers to not only interpret his dream to him, but to tell him his dream. None of them were able to do this and the king was threatening to have them all put to death. Daniel heard what was happening from Arioch, commander of the King's guard, and so Daniel went himself to see the King, asking for time so that he could interpret the dream.

Daniel courageously placed himself in a place of great personal risk and danger, but His history and relationship with God had taught Him that God would come through for him. We know the rest of the story, and that the mystery of the King's dream was revealed to Daniel that night in a vision. Not only did Daniel correctly reveal and interpret the dream, but he touched the heart of the proud king through his incredible insight. The king's response reveals this in Daniel 2:46-48, "Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell prostrate before Daniel and paid him honor and ordered that an offering and incense be presented to him. The king said to Daniel, 'Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery.' Then the king placed Daniel in a high position and lavished many gifts on him. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men."

I believe we have stepped into a time where accessing the GLORY REALM will be absolutely essential if we are to see life, change, and reformation in the world around us. No doubt, this realm will be greatly opposed as it is a spiritual battle we are facing and following His voice may come at great personal cost. It will not always be the popular thing to do, even among believers, as God continues to separate the wheat from the chaff, even among His Church.

"His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Matt. 3:12

When winnowing grain, farmers separate the chaff from around the wheat. The chaff is like the husk, and it is the part thrown away and not eaten. There is a "separating" taking place even now as situations and circumstances have caused a revealing of hearts. But, as waves of revival are poured out into the nations, a great "washing" of hearts and minds is going to occur. Those whose perceptions have been clouded, and their hearing blocked, will have encounters that shift everything into the GLORY REALM.

I believe repentance for partnering with the spirit of strife and contention is necessary in these days, and an intentional setting aside of our preconceived mindsets. We then confess our need of His wisdom that comes from His realm, the GLORY REALM, to invade our lives and circumstances. We have to intentionally step off of the bandwagon and jump on His GLORY TRAIN in order to clearly hear the voice of Heaven. God is calling His Church to rise up and release His manifold wisdom and heart to the nations.

"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord." Ephesians 3:10-11
