Dread Champions are Arising

The Lord has been highlighting the phrase "dread champions" to me lately. You may be familiar with this phrase found in Jer. 20:11, "But the Lord is with me like a dread champion. Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will be utterly ashamed because they have failed with an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten." The Hebrew word for dread in this verse actually means "awe-inspiring, or terror striking". When our mighty King Jesus reveals Himself, He is indeed our awe-inspiring, terror striking, Dread Champion.

We are entering a time when we will see our Dread Champion arise, but also the dread champions born of His Spirit. Yet, many have found themselves in seemingly opposite circumstances, backed in a corner with no obvious solutions. But, it is in this very corner that our Champion will show Himself strong as we place all our hope and trust in Him.

It is in this corner where the spirit of dread and intimidation will be overcome by the vindication and power of the Holy Spirit that is at work within us. This spirit of dread and intimidation is a lying and bullying spirit, and it feeds on the pathways of speculation in which we often give it access. The goal of this spirit is to undermine our confidence and destiny.

But, I hear the Spirit of the Lord roaring His verdict over this situation with these words, "The enemy has sought to undermine your destiny, but do not fear for I am UNDERLINING your destiny. And you will rise, My dread champions, from this pit of intimidation, fear, and dread. You will be my fearless ones. From this very pit that's purpose was to destroy and humiliate you, you will rise in the power of my Spirit. For I will contend with those who contend with you.(Isa. 49:25) Shame and everlasting disgrace are the fate of your enemy as I have already made a public spectacle of him through the power and victory of the cross.(Col. 2:15)

There is coming a greater revelation and understanding of your place of victory as you embrace the reality that you are seated with Me. Your enemy trembles at the thought of you believing and operating in this reality. Now align yourself with truth. As we move forward in this new season, your alignment with truth and all I have spoken to you is paramount. Tear down every argument that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ( 2 Cor. 10:5) and you will rise My dread champions. You have faced the spirit of fear and dread, and by My Spirit you have emerged a champion. You will rise and mount up with new wings. You carry My kingdom in your heart. Rise up My dread champions!"
