God is Releasing His Racehorses!

Recently I had a vision of racehorses lined up in their stalls, ready for the gates to open. Then, I heard the phrase, "God is releasing His racehorses!".

This word goes along with some things that the Lord had spoken to me earlier in the year. 2016 had been a very difficult year as I battled with an unexpected cancer diagnosis. Following surgery and treatment, I was seeking the Lord for words of hope concerning the future and, surprisingly, I heard Him say, "It's time to run!".

God is so personal and unique in how He chooses to speak to us. During this same difficult season something very unusual happened. A Roadrunner came to my kitchen windowsill holding a snake in his beak. If this were not unusual enough, my Roadrunner friend came every day for 40 days, usually twice a day. He slept on the windowsill every night and never built any sort of nest. At the time, we felt strongly that God had sent him to us and it was sign to us of God's comfort and careful watch over us. I was spending my days in Psalm 91, "under His wings". But, later the Lord began to highlight to me that He could have sent any bird, but He chose a Roadrunner. He began to speak to me that the Roadrunner was not only there to comfort and watch over us, but he was "prophesying" the season to come. This would be a season of acceleration and yes, a time to RUN.

Many have battled great difficulties during the past few years, but God has been at work behind the scenes, taking those things that the enemy meant for evil and using them to position and propel His children into the season at hand.

Many have felt as if they have been in a "Job" season, but God is bringing the revelation that Job himself came to when he said to God, "I know that you can do all things; and no purpose of yours can be thwarted." (Job. 42:2) Our God is so much more powerful than anything the enemy can throw at us, and He is a master at working our "all things" for good.

As God showed me the vision of the racehorses, I saw that many had been through times of intense conditioning and training much like the racehorses, but presently they find themselves confined in stalls of all sorts. There have been so many frustrating delays, roadblocks, and hindrances. So many have heard the word of the Lord and believed Him for this next season, yet have experienced such disappointment as they wait for the fulfillment of promises.

But, I felt like the Lord is saying, "I am opening the gates to your stalls! The stalls that have confined you will no longer hold you back. I'm releasing you, my racehorses to run the race marked out for you. You have been trained for such a time as this. The sacrifices, the conditioning, the tedious laps you have endured have prepared you for the course ahead. You will now run swiftly and skillfully, completely in tune to the slightest tug on the reins from my hand. For, I have honed the hearts of my racehorses. I have honed your heart to beat like mine. Because your heart is totally mine, we will now run as one."

As God begins to open the gates, it is still imperative to wait on His timing, and run submitted fully to Him. The strength for this race MUST be a supernatural strength, as we have never run in this type of race before. We must "wait" on the Lord for our strength and in doing so, we will have grace to run and not grow weary.

Take your positions children of the Kingdom, for God is releasing His racehorses. Your gates are opening!
